The Caribbean HIV Health Information Systems (HIS) Program is part of a CDC-funded project in support of HIV strategic information activities in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. The goal of the HIS component of the project is to ensure better reporting and monitoring of the epidemic.

The Global Health Security (GHS) team works on improving public health responses to COVID-19 and new emerging infectious diseases worldwide. The PROTECT project is designed to improve public health responses to COVID-19 and new emerging infectious diseases in South America, and the Middle East and North Africa regions.
CDC TAP
Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Zambia, Botswana, Cambodia, & Thailand
The CDC Technical Assistance Platform (CDC TAP) provides technical assistance to USG-supported countries to improve healthcare delivery and public health outcomes. As a lead implementing partner of TAP, UCSF collaborates with partner universities in country to provide technical assistance with health information systems.
Kenya Surveillance & Strategic Information
Kenya
The Kenya Surveillance & Strategic Information project is a CDC-funded mechanism focused on supporting the Ministry of Health by providing technical assistance in HIV/AIDS strategic information through surveillance in Kenya. Informatics activities under this project are in support of the overall project goal.
METS Program
Uganda
The Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Support (METS) project works to establish coordinated and effective national and district systems for the management of strategic information for Uganda’s HIV response.
NAMTAC
Namibia
The Namibia Technical Assistance Consortium (NAMTAC) implements a Strategic Information CDC-sponsored project focusing on HIV. The project goals include conducting HIV surveillance in Namibia, supporting the Ministry of Health and Social Services, and designing and implementing information systems solutions.
Tanzania Program
Tanzania
UCSF has provided strategic information technical assistance to CDC Tanzania and the National AIDS, STI and Hepatitis Control Programme (NASHCoP) since 2008. This team supports national HIV information systems and improves access to, analysis and use of routine data.
